  • Mitie has secured a new three-year contract with Dover Harbour Board to deliver waste management services for the Port of Dover  
  • The contract will see Mitie support the Dover Harbour Board in its aim to minimise waste and maintain zero waste to landfill with a range of circular economy initiatives, including re-use projects for redundant furniture and eliminating single-use plastics 
  • Dover Harbour Board will also collect detailed carbon and waste data across its entire site, through Mitie’s best-in-class waste data reporting system

  • Mitie has acquired Cliniwaste, experts in the specialist treatment of waste in healthcare environments, turning plastic waste into a reusable resource
  • Cliniwaste embraces specialist and sustainable recycling processes, using steam and pressure to sterilise clinical plastic waste that would previously have been incinerated or placed in landfill
  • Cliniwaste will complement Mitie’s existing support for the NHS, helping to achieve its sustainability targets
