- Mitie has helped Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) to reduce emissions at its Halifax headquarters with a new ground source heat pump
- The new heat pump will save up to 6,292,112 kWh of gas consumption, reducing LBG’s carbon emissions by up to 1,164 tonnes, equivalent to the amount of CO2 produced from the annual energy use of 143 homes1
- The decarbonisation project is part of LBG’s long-term investment in modernising its estate and reaching its net zero operations target by 2030

- As part of the new contract renewal, Mitie will continue to provide vetting services including digital identity verification, right to work and CV checks, as well as verifying employment and education history

- The announcement follows Mitie’s previous acquisitions of Rock Power Connections and Custom Solar as it continues to grow its energy and decarbonisation capabilities

- The contract will provide a range of facilities management services such as maintenance, repairs and services as well as waste disposal and laundry services
- This contract will introduce new asset management technology to improve the lived experience of those on site

- Mitie has been awarded a new contract with Phoenix Group to deliver integrated facilities management (IFM) services across its UK sites
- As part of the five-year contract, Mitie will provide a range of specialist services, including its ‘Connected Workspace’ and decarbonisation services, in a deal worth £62m
- This contract marks the first time all facilities management services for the Phoenix Group estate have been brought under one supplier

- Mitie, in partnership with EEVS, has worked with Royal Mail Group to achieve energy savings of 16.69 gigawatt hours (GWh) in just 12 months
- The partnership aims to reduce the Group’s annual energy consumption by 15% by 2026 and is primarily focused on the identification and delivery of no cost or low-cost energy conservation measures
- The savings have been verified by EEVS, the UK’s leading independent verifier for commercial energy and carbon saving schemes
