- Sustainable white marine salt will be used for gritting services rather than traditional brown salt, as part of Mitie’s mission to deliver sustainable services on the contract

- Mitie has secured a new three-year contract with Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust to deliver clinical waste management services
- Mitie will use innovative autoclave equipment that treats waste with high pressure steam which can then be recycled, which is a more sustainable method than the traditional high temperature incineration process
- Mitie’s specialist clinical waste business, Cliniwaste, will be central to the delivery of the contract

- A middle ground between traditional grass and wildflower meadows, flowering lawns provide a biodiverse, neat, and easy to maintain solution for commercial landscapes
- The trials are taking place across two locations and have been cultivated using three methods, in order to determine the best technique for different climates
