- Custom Solar, part of Mitie Power & Grid, has broken ground on a £3.9 million solar installation at Bassingbourn Barracks in Royston, Cambridgeshire, for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) on behalf of the British Army
- The solar installation will produce around 2.2mWp of renewable electricity per year, enough to power the equivalent of 800 UK homes annually
- The project builds on Mitie Power & Grid’s successful delivery of a solar installation at Weeton Barracks in Lancashire, which became operational earlier this year

- The first of the four episodes is available now, with subsequent episodes to be released weekly on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music

- Mitie has extended its security partnership with the Co-op for a further five years, providing security and maintenance services to more than 2,300 stores, plus Co-op’s 800 funeral care homes
- Co-op has seen a reduction in overall retail crime in its stores UK-wide, including lower levels of anti-social behaviour and abuse towards store workers
- The new agreement builds on the successful partnership and also sees specialist security officers deployed, including new dedicated response officer roles created to support stores with localised issues and keep high streets and communities safer
