Showcasing the latest lines in corporate wear and uniforms in a stunning catwalk show, MITIE’s client services business launches its first ever fashion show, STRUT. Giving clients the opportunity to witness the difference the right uniform can make, our models will present looks from elegant to edgy on the catwalk at Channel 4’s headquarters in London.
MITIE manage the reception, switchboard, mailroom and cleaning at the London offices of Channel 4 and, as the specialists in five-star service, know the importance of making the right first impression. The first few seconds of a meeting form a lasting impression of both the individual and the company they work for and should never be underestimated.
Whether it’s a bespoke three piece suit or a branded polo shirt and cargo pants, work uniforms can be a very emotive topic for both the company purchasing them and team member who wears them. There is no one-uniform-fits-all approach to styling a company.
MITIE recognises this and has brought six key suppliers together to present their latest collections, providing ideas and inspiration for all work environments. TM Lewin, Fat Face, Venice Tailoring, Burlington Uniforms, Dirty Girl Uniforms and Simon Jersey Corporate Clothing are joining forces in a spectacular show.
Commenting on the inaugural STRUT fashion show, Debra Ward, Managing Director of MITIE’s client services business said:
“As reception and front-of-house teams are the face of an organisation, an exemplary personal image is a necessity. The right uniform presents the most visible representation of corporate culture and character of the brand.
“Creating exceptional, memorable experiences, one guest at a time, starts from the moment a client walks through the door. Finding that perfect look for team members is crucial and we want to give our clients a look that suits their individual needs and matches the image they want to portray.”
The first STRUT fashion show follows a very successful first year for MITIE’s new client services business, which launched in May 2007. The new business has succeeded in setting the standard in five-star front-of-house services, specialising in reception, switchboard, helpdesk, meetings and event management services. In 2008 it hopes to raise the standard even higher.

About MITIE
MITIE is a people business, made up of over 49,000 talented and driven people, all working in one of our key areas of expertise: facilities, property and engineering services.
They bring us passion and we invest in their potential. So when we say that MITIE is a company of world-class people delivering world-class services, we really mean it. The result? 20 years of growth, annual revenues of over £1.4bn, and a reputation for being the very best at what we do.
MITIE installs, manages and maintains, making buildings and their facilities, smarter, greener, safer and better run. We do this for some of the country’s biggest private and public sector organisations, but what’s really different about us, is that we put as much effort into getting the details right for a welcoming receptionist as we do to managing an entire office complex.
MITIE is all about having the right people for every job, and the right attitude to getting it done. Simple, really, but it makes all the difference.
