On 12 June, Ruby McGregor-Smith, Chief Executive of Mitie Group PLC was announced as a Real Business/CBI First Women Award winner at a gala awards ceremony in London, held to celebrate women who are pioneers in business.

The judges commented on her win in the First Woman of Business Services category, saying: “Ruby McGregor-Smith has undoubtedly pushed the boundaries by becoming the first Asian woman to run a FTSE 250 business and setting ambitious goals for Mitie’s future. She is an exceptional businesswoman.”
