Mitie’s housing team supported the annual Wormholt and White City Big Local Christmas Fair, which took place on Friday 11 December within the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.
The popular annual event was run by the local community and attracted a wide range of people from the White City Estate including local schools, families and businesses.
Mitie generously provided two reindeer for the event as part of the partnership with Big Local, which works to bring together local talent from local individuals, groups and organisations who want to make the area a better place to live.
The reindeer proved extremely popular, leading to queues of local residents keen to catch a glimpse of them and capture a reindeer selfie!
The event also included; a visit from Santa, stalls set up by locals, a snow machine and plenty of hot chocolate and mince pies.
This joint event is part of Mitie’s ongoing initiative to deliver added socio-economic value within its contracts to show its support to local communities and engage with local residents.

Local residents of all ages got involved, with local choirs singing festive songs, families queueing to see Santa and an everlasting supply of mince pies! “This year’s party demonstrated a true Christmas value of generosity as local residents pitched in to make it happen; making decorations to dress up the square, serving hot drinks and mince pies, hosting table top stalls, running craft activities and dressing up as elves! And the generosity spread further still with a tree donated to us from a local sponsor and two beautiful reindeer kindly gifted to the event by contributions from Mitie and Television Centre. The children’s faces when they saw Santa’s reindeer were priceless!”
