MITIE wins Golden Service Award

MITIE, the strategic outsourcing and asset management company, has recently won a prestigious Kimberley-Clark Golden Service Award (GSA) for its facilities management contract with Sellafield Limited. The Awards ceremony took place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on 30 October with over 500 guests from blue chip clients and cleaning companies. 

At this year’s awards, known as the Oscars within the cleaning industry, MITIE won the Best Cleaned Premises Award in the manufacturing sector for its work at Sellafield Limited. MITIE has been providing facilities management services to the Sellafield site since 2003 working in partnership with the client to drive improvements and comply with the rigorous health and safety regime in place. 

Neil Glover, regional director for MITIE’s cleaning and environmental business, said: “I am delighted for the MITIE teams at Sellafield. My congratulations go out them all for their hard work in achieving their excellent standards in such a challenging environment. The award caps off a remarkable year for MITIE at Sellafield, having already picked up the prestigious on-site shield award for Resident Engineers Safety.”
