For the sixth consecutive year, Mitie’s roofing business has been awarded the Gold Excellence award for health and safety, by the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC).

The NFRC is the UK’s largest roofing trade association, representing over 70% of the roofing industry by value. Aimed at promoting health and safety amongst NFRC member companies, the annual awards serve to recognise those members of the NFRC who demonstrate a continued drive to deliver excellence when it comes to health and safety.

Matthew Goddard, Area Director at Mitie, was presented with the award at the NFRC Annual General Meeting, held last month in Chepstow, Wales. Upon collecting the award, he commented:

“Receiving this extremely prestigious award is a welcome achievement for Mitie’s roofing team and demonstrates our high standards when it comes to safety. It is important that when everyone goes home after a day’s work, they go home with no injuries or ill effects as a result of their job. I would also like to congratulate everyone within our business as they have all worked hard as a team to earn this award.”
