Mitie, the FTSE 250 strategic outsourcing company, has been awarded the prestigious BALI National Landscape Award for its immaculate grounds maintenance work at Vodafone’s HQ estate in Newbury.
The awards recognise excellence in the landscape industry.
Mitie’s landscaping business, which provides grounds maintenance, gritting and bespoke interior plant services throughout the UK, picked up the award for ‘Grounds Maintenance - Domestic or Commercial - Total contract over £50k’.
Mitie was also a winner in the category ‘Interior Landscape – Installation only’ for its work with the Co-operative Group. Mitie’s landscapes team designed and managed the installation of five metre tall trees, interior displays and roof gardens, transported from a green house in Holland to Co-operative’s flagship head office at No.1 Angel Square in Manchester.
Tim Howell, the recently appointed managing director of Mitie’s landscaping business, said:

These awards follow another win for Mitie’s landscapes team who were also awarded the Yorkshire in Bloom 2013 Award for ground maintenance work at the Lloyds Banking Group Copley Data Centre in Halifax.
