MITIE wins BALI Award

MITIE, the strategic outsourcing and asset management company, has recently won a BALI Landscape Award for its grounds maintenance for a major high street bank. 

The British Association of Landscape Industries awards are an annual event in the landscaping industry to recognise exceptionally high standards of professionalism and skill in the execution of a wide variety of landscaped schemes. The awards cover a wide range of categories to ensure that every part of the landscaping industry is recognised, from the individual designer and domestic contractor to the largest multi-location company working in the commercial arena. 

This year MITIE has won an award in the multi-site category and will attend an awards ceremony on 4 December 2009 at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel in London to find out if it has also won the overall award in its category. 

BALI is the UK representative trade association body for firms undertaking exterior and interior landscaping. BALI is all about quality standards, developing skills, raising awareness and rewarding excellence. To join BALI applicants undergo an intensive quality audit involving interviews, site visits and use of references. 

Larry Jones, Director of MITIE’s landscaping business said: “We’re delighted to be an award winner in the multi-site category. We have worked hard to look after the grounds for all our clients’ sites and look forward to the ceremony in December to see if we are the overall winner for the category.”
