Mitie, the FTSE 250 strategic outsourcing company, has been awarded a multi-million pound lighting maintenance contract by Tesco. This is the largest contract of its kind in the UK.
The four year contract will see Mitie deliver lighting maintenance and repairs to Tesco’s 929 stores throughout the UK, and emergency lighting tests in 1,500 Tesco Express stores.
Mitie was chosen for its experience delivering maintenance and energy savings, its national capability, and innovative approach.
Peter Mosley, managing director of Mitie’s Technical Facilities Management business, said:
