Over 1,500 votes were cast online leading up to a talent-tingling live final on Saturday 6 October to decide the winning act for 2012. Five fantastic finalists took to the stage live in front of an audience of Mitie people, hoping to win them over with their talents. It was David’s performance that swayed the audience to vote him to victory on the night, together with his share of the votes gathered online. Accompanying himself on the piano, his rendition of Sondheim’s classic left the audience amazed.Congratulations must go to all five acts: Jacqui George, Alistair Calder, Kayleigh King, David Melnick, and Rachel Sheppard together with her dance partner Herbie Bastien. All five stellar performances left the audience suitably spellbound, rounded off with a repeat performance from last year’s winner, Linzi Dyson.

The competition showcased just some of the terrifically talented people within Mitie. David wins a £500 prize of his choice to go towards developing his talent.

Applications for next year’s competition will open in June 2013. If you work for Mitie and have been inspired to enter, contact the talent team for more information and to register your interest: +44 (0)79 7970 2207.
