Mitie, the facilities management company, was handed a prestigious award for ‘Best Corporate Decision-Maker-Targeted Campaign' for its unique and innovative ‘Executive Relationship Programme’ (ERP) at this year’s Business-to-Business (B2B) Awards.

Mitie’s ERP was launched in 2013 to provide a vehicle by which top clients and prospects could come together, share experiences, talk about the changing future and how it is affecting the world of property and facilities management. Over 200 industry leaders have since engaged in the ERP, which has helped Mitie better understand the complex needs of its clients and strengthened relationships with strategic level contacts across the industry.

Underpinning the programme, Mitie commissioned a programme of research to stimulate a series of peer-led discussion forums, dinners and roundtables, exploring such diverse subjects as agile working, energy, data and technology and training and recruitment.

Feedback and discussions from these executive events inspired a series of strategy papers around the key issues, which were shared online through the Mitie Debates and promoted through informed commentary contained in regular blogs from Martyn Freeman, Manager Director, Mitie Facilities Management.

David Noel, Sales and Marketing Director, said of the award win:
“Huge congratulations go to the team involved in creating such an innovative and successful campaign. This programme has changed the way we engage with clients, focusing on their needs within the modern workplace and helping move us from being simply part of the supply chain, to the role of valued business partner.”

“We’d like to thank all those who have taken part in the ERP events. We plan to do a lot more in the coming year, looking in more detail at the evolving issues and bringing it to participants in new, innovative ways that allow our clients to benchmark what they do with their peer groups.”
