Mitie, the facilities management company, has retained a multi-million pound security contract with Eurostar.
The three year contract, which has the potential to be expanded to five years, will be delivered by Mitie’s security business, Total Security Management.
Having worked together for five years, Mitie and Eurostar have a well-established relationship. Mitie will provide more than 250 highly trained security professionals, who will continue to ensure the safety and well-being of Eurostar passengers.
Bob Forsyth, managing director of Mitie’s Total Security Management business, said:

As a quality security and service provider, we are again entrusting them to handle the ever-increasing passenger volumes departing from our UK terminals on brand new fleet of (larger) trains later this year. We also have the challenge of introducing passport checking at all UK exit points and Mitie will be integral in supporting us in making this hassle-free for our passengers”
