Mitie has been awarded the ISO 27001 certification, the international standard for information security management.
The certification recognises Mitie’s best in class approach to managing sensitive information and keeping it secure. It was awarded to Mitie’s 24Seven service centre and Miworld, its management information platform and tool, for the innovative approach developed to gathering and interpreting client data.
Miworld helps Mitie collect, analyse and better understand client data to help drive smarter, more strategic decisions across their estates. Currently used on Mitie’s largest integrated FM accounts, Miworld provides a minute by minute activity report for both the Mitie delivery team and the client.
Phil Holland, managing director of Mitie’s Integrated Facilities Management business, said: “We are thrilled to have gained the ISO 27001 certification, which demonstrates our commitment and compliance to best practice. Security is paramount to the way we operate and we fully understand how it can impact a business’ operation.
Through Miworld, we manage huge amounts of data – from reactive maintenance issues and meeting room occupancy, to measuring the number of meals served every day. This certification reassures our clients that their data is in safe hands.”
Mitie also recently attained the same accreditation for its employee screening and vetting services. For more details click here.
