Mitie, the FTSE 250 strategic outsourcing company, has been awarded two of the cleaning industry’s most prestigious prizes at the Kimberly-Clark Golden Service Awards in London.
The awards, organised in partnership with the Cleaning & Support Services Association (CSSA), showcase excellence in cleaning in the UK and Ireland across a number of categories.
Mitie’s Environmental + team, who provide expert cleaning services across a range of sectors, were recognised for ‘Best cleaned Large Educational Establishment’ (Liverpool Community College) and ’Best cleaned Transport Terminal’ (Birmingham Airport), both highly competitive categories.
Mitie was also shortlisted in the ‘Offices below 250,000 sq ft’ category for its work with Weightmanns LLP in Liverpool.
Commenting on the awards, Rob Cattell, managing director of Environmental +, said:
“These two contracts are excellent examples of the great service we provide for our clients, day in, day out. To receive recognition as a leader in the industry highlights Mitie’s continued commitment to demonstrating best practice in the sector.”
The Golden Service Awards are held every other year and judged by the cleaning industry’s biggest membership, training and quality organisations. This year’s awards were held at the London Lancaster Hotel and presented by BBC News’ Kate Silverton.
