Mitie, the FTSE 250 strategic outsourcing company, has won four awards at the Painting and Decorating Association’s (PDA) Premier Trophy Awards within its painting business.
The Premier Trophy Awards, established by the PDA in 1987, were set up to recognise the UK’s top talent, skills and professionalism in the painting and decorating industry.
Mitie’s painting business was ‘very highly commended’ for its project at Admirals Quay, Gosport for the internal redecoration to 19 separate residential blocks, as well as for its external redecoration to the grade 1 listed National Trust building at Wimpole Hall in Royston.
In addition, both Addison House in London and the Kirkgate Shopping Centre in Bradford, Yorkshire were ‘commended’ for the redecoration of internal communal areas.
These four prestigious award wins follow two previously announced wins at the Scottish Decorators Federation (SDF), a body that recognises the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, expertise and safety in painting and decorating projects, earlier this year.

Mitie’s painting division is one of the largest painting contractors in the UK, with a skilled workforce of over 1,400 people, and local branches nationwide. Together, the division contributed around £72m to annual group revenues.
