Mitie’s approach to diversity and inclusion has been praised, with the company named on the list of the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers. Mitie was the only facilities management company to receive the accolade at a ceremony at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.
Mitie came in at number 17 on the list, which was topped by community wellbeing service Touchstone. The company was recognised for its work promoting diversity across disability, gender, age, LGBT and race, working at a high level to create an inclusive and diverse workforce.
The three key areas Mitie has focused on are recruitment, training and initiatives to promote and encourage diversity. Mitie has five diversity networks championing different aspects of diversity and which have been welcomed by employees who appreciate the company values diversity.
