Mitie, the FTSE 250 strategic outsourcing company, has today launched its new Digihub, a centre for offsite printing, scanning and data capture, in Birmingham, with Ruby McGregor-Smith CBE, CEO of Mitie, officially opening the site.
The outsourcer has made a substantial investment in the new facility’s hardware, software and key personnel. It will use state of the art equipment and software for print production and print management, record scanning and data capture and manipulation.
The facility will also bring in 20 onsite job roles which will rise to 45 once all business lines within Mitie’s Total Document Management business come into stream.
As a flexible resource this facility will support many of Mitie’s key clients from across the UK. These include local authorities, blue chip companies, global law firms, global consultancy businesses and many household brand names.
James Gilding, managing director of Mitie’s Total Document Management business, said: “We have seen a substantial increase in the use of these services from across all sectors. It made sense to bring this altogether in a site designed to provide the most efficient and secure document services.
“We’re very excited about this facility opening. It will ensure all areas of the UK can benefit from these services, whilst increasing our presence in a key market for Mitie.”
