The Company today announces that Carlo Alloni, Managing Director of Mitie’s Technical Services division, has resigned after 4½ years with Mitie and is leaving the Company with immediate effect. Simon Venn, Chief Government and Strategy Officer, will take over as acting Managing Director of Mitie’s Technical Services division, supported by Dan Guest, Chief Operating Officer of the Technical Services division.
Carlo Alloni entered into a confidential plea bargain with the U.S. Department of Justice in April 2018 in relation to an offence related to the Republic of Djibouti between 2011 and 2012 under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, whilst Mr Alloni was President, Ericsson North East Africa. The documents relating to the case have recently been unsealed. The case remains on-going, and no conclusion has yet been reached, but this has led to Mr Alloni suffering serious ill health.
Carlo has made a significant contribution to the transformation of Mitie since he joined in 2017 and leaves with the Company’s thanks. Although he is not a Director of the Company and is not a designated PDMR (‘Person Discharging Management Responsibility’), Carlo will be greatly missed by Clients and colleagues across Mitie.
