Mitie has been appointed by NHS Property Services to supply its Hard FM services of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) and Building Fabric at locations across England. Mitie has secured 25 of the 31 lots, the contract is for three years with the option of two one-year extensions and the estimated full-term contract value is in excess of £100m.
The appointment follows a nine-month rationalisation process of facilities management services across the entire NHS Property Services estate. This involved consolidating over 2,300 individual contracts into five key contracts, and was undertaken via an extensive tendering and procurement process conducted on a regional level.
