Mitie, the FTSE 250 strategic outsourcing company, has been awarded a facilities management (FM) contract with Turner Broadcasting.

The multiyear contract will see Mitie deliver FM services at three of the broadcaster’s sites, including maintenance and repairs, cleaning, front of house, waste management and mailroom services.

Turner Broadcasting, a unit of Time Warner Inc., operates over 160 channels including CNN, Cartoon Network and Boomerang.

Mitie’s self-delivery capability and use of technology was key to them being awarded the contract. The firm also has extensive experience in the media sector, working with channels including BBC Worldwide, Channel 4, Sky and Universal Music.
