Healthcare waste specialist Andrew Stratton has been appointed as MITIE’s healthcare commercial development manager, in a bid to develop its healthcare waste services.
With his experience in the medical and research field, Andrew develop MITIE’s healthcare waste service, and meeting the increasing needs of NHS and the research clients for more cost effective solutions.
Stratton brings a wealth of experience to the role, and most recently worked at a major waste management company for 17 years.
Andrew has a background in microbiology for a pharmaceutical company, and used his technical background, developing and promoting clinical, pharmaceutical and radioactive waste services to the NHS and the research sector.
He is a member of the Healthcare Waste Special Interest Group within the Chartered Institute of Waste Management, and served as chair of the Sanitary Medical Disposal Services Association (SMDSA) for three years.
