Mitie, the facilities management company, has been appointed by Circle Housing, one of the UK's largest providers of affordable housing, to provide responsive repairs and maintenance services in London.
This move forms part of Circle Housing’s strategy to improve repairs and maintenance, through increasing capacity and delivering a better quality service. Mitie will provide responsive repairs and maintenance services to customers at Circle Housing Old Ford, managing 6,500 homes in East London. Responsive repairs and maintenance includes small repair works required by tenants, refurbishing empty homes so they can be re-occupied quickly and providing a 24/7 emergency service.
Circle Housing’s CEO, Mark Rogers, said: “Today’s announcement marks an important step in our improvement plan to deliver a repairs service that our customers deserve. We’re pleased that Mitie shares our social purpose and commitment to customer service and look forward to working in partnership with them.”

Emergency and out of hours work will begin to be delivered from the end of March, with all on the ground repairs moving over at the end of April. Mitie has the capacity and resource to deliver repairs immediately and provide a better repairs and maintenance service for Circle Housing’s customers.
