MiHomecare, one of the UK’s leading care providers has secured a five-year contract to provide home and community care support and continuing healthcare services for over 700 people in East Sussex.
The contract which commenced on 27 October will see MiHomecare deliver home and community care support in High Weald, Lewes, Havens, Eastbourne, Hailsham, Seaford and in two extra care housing schemes in the area. It will be focusing on delivering high quality home care that will encourage its customers to maintain their independence and remain active in their communities.
To help support the new contract which is being run from its Seaford branch, a new MiHomecare office was officially opened in Eastbourne this week by the Deputy Mayor of Eastbourne, Councillor Jim Murray and Mark McFadden, President of the Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce. The opening ceremony was part of a recruitment open day to help recruit more than 350 people for new jobs created by the contract.
Ayesha Trott, Operations Director for MiHomecare said:
“I’m delighted that we’re working in partnership with East Sussex County Council to deliver quality care in the area. It’s great that we’re expanding our service provision in East Sussex and in doing so that we can offer new job opportunities for local people.”
