Interserve wins £10million contract extension with Southwark Council

Interserve, the international support services and construction group, has been awarded a two year contract extension to provide total facilities management services for local authority, Southwark Council worth over £10 million.

The contract builds upon Interserve’s longstanding and wide-ranging relationship with Southwark Council, which has seen the company provide facilities services to the Council for five years.

The extended facilities management contract will see Interserve continue to provide a range of services, including security, mechanical and electrical services, cleaning, helpdesk, portering and pest control at over 90 sites across the Borough of Southwark, including corporate buildings, care homes, day centres, and 13 libraries. Martin Burholt, managing director for communities at Interserve, said:

“Our partnership with Southwark Council has enabled us to understand the needs of their wider community. We bring a wealth of experience in providing expert services in local government, making us well equipped to source the right solutions.”

Paul Symington, head of corporate facilities management at Southwark Council, said:

“Interserve has demonstrated that it understands our requirements and consistently delivers to a high standard. Their can do and flexible approach has enabled us to develop a partnering relationship that is providing the best facilities management support for our community.”
