Interserve Group Limited, the international support services, construction and equipment services group, has won a contract to deliver mechanical and electrical maintenance services to Crown Paints Limited.
Crown Paints, the major paint manufacturer, was formed in 1777, and is part of the Hempel Group, a world leading coatings supplier to the decorative, protective, marine, container and yacht markets. Crown Paints recently changed its supply strategy by moving to a single services provider for its estate.
Interserve’s Support Services business won the national contract, which will see the company deliver mechanical and electrical maintenance services to 131 Crown Decorator Centres and the Crown Paints’ head office, in Darwen, Lancashire. Interserve already supplies cleaning services at Crown Paints’ HQ and additional work is anticipated.
The contract will see services delivered across the country by Interserve’s Mobile & Technical Services engineering team and specialist supply chain partners. Services include maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment as well as water treatment services, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and grounds maintenance.
Phil Lang, Estates & Facilities Manager, Crown Paints Limited, said: “As part of our continuing efforts to improve service, standards and efficiency we’re delighted to be partnering with Interserve to deliver maintenance services across our estate.
“Interserve’s integrity and experience helps strengthen our drive for excellency and I very much look forward to building a long-term partnership with the team.”
Steve Kennaugh, National Operations Manager, Interserve, said: “I am delighted that Crown Paints has chosen to award this contract to Interserve. This contract award illustrates our ability to deliver UK wide solutions to complex mechanical and electrical maintenance issues to both private and public sector clients. By combining our own maintenance fleet while managing a specialist supply chain to service this contract ensures we are best placed to deliver an outstanding service to Crown Paint and meet their operational needs.
“Mechanical and electrical facilities management is a core strength of Interserve. This contract award is another example of how we are successfully executing our strategy to grow the business with major private sector clients.”
