Interserve Group Limited’s Business & Industry unit is a finalist in tonight’s IWFM Awards

Interserve Group Limited, the international support services, construction and equipment services group, is a finalist in tonight’s IWFM Awards for its work with two clients: the BBC and E.ON.

Interserve was nominated for supporting the BBC to transform a part of its Scottish headquarters, in Pacific Quay, Glasgow and for its transformational communication programme implemented across its account with E.ON, the energy company.

The Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management Awards is being hosted at Grosvenor House, London, and showcases best-in-class workplace and FM expertise and evidence its impact on business, the economy and society.

Interserve’s E.ON entry is a finalist in the Innovation in People Development and Empowerment category. The nomination recognises the company’s work integrating 10 service lines – including catering, security, cleaning and front of house services – previously delivered by five separate suppliers and TUPE transfer of more than 320 employees to a single contract. To achieve this, Interserve rolled out ‘Engage’, a training and communications platform developed by the company, that helped create a shared way of working. The aim was to establish a common safety culture to drive up health and safety standards. The account has had more than 400 RIDDOR-free working days and the most recent team survey found that 93 per cent of employees felt their health and safety was taken seriously.

The company’s BBC entry is in the Impact on Organisational performance category. Interserve supported the BBC to design and deliver a major programme of physical and operational change at Pacific Quay in Glasgow including the roll-out of a new channel – BBC Scotland.

Jeff Flanagan, Managing Director of Business & Industry, Interserve Group Limited, said:

“Our E.ON entry showcases our intimate knowledge of regulated industries which helped us develop an innovative communications and training platform which met the client’s aim of creating a unified workforce supported by excellent health and safety practices.

“The BBC nomination illustrates our ability to help design the change process to create two new studios while also delivering seamless FM services to ensure the smooth-running of day-to-day operations in a complex environment.” Interserve’s Business & Industry business unit is also a finalist at the PFM Awards, which take place on November 6th.
