Interserve extends relationship with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office with £67 million FM contract

Interserve, the international support services and construction group, has secured a new £67 million, five-year contract to provide total facilities management services for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). This extends our ten-year relationship with the government department and provides service continuity.

The contract includes services to FCO’s main building in London, as well as to embassies and supporting properties throughout the UK and in France, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Republic of Ireland, Luxembourg, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Switzerland.

As part of the core £67m fee, Interserve will continue to deliver a wide range of services through the contract including, engineering, cleaning, front-of-house support, landscaping and ground maintenance, helpdesk, porterage, mail room, catering and helpdesk services at over 450 buildings internationally. In addition to the core fee, they will also provide delivery support to future project works throughout the contract.

The new five-year contract, with the opportunity to extend by a further two years, increases service transparency, integration, resilience and reporting to facilitate the evolution and optimisation of the FM services over time to match the demanding operational requirements of the FCO.

Debbie White, Interserve’s chief executive, said:

“This award extends our strong relationship with FCO, building upon the valuable insight gained over the last decade into the department’s property needs in an international environment. Our deep understanding of service delivery to the FCO has enabled us to offer resilient and cost effective service solutions that can adapt quickly to meet the changing needs of building users, wherever they are located. We look forward to building on our relationship with the department, working together to deliver excellent services, which offer value-for-money to the taxpayer.”
