Mitie, the FTSE 250 strategic outsourcing company, has been awarded a contract worth over £6m with The John Lewis Partnership to fit out their new store in Birmingham city centre.

The contract will see Mitie carry out a range of services in the 250,000 sq ft store. This major store, which will open in the autumn, is part of the multimillion pound redevelopment of Birmingham New Street station.

Peter Mosley, Managing Director of Mitie’s Technical Facilities Management business, said:

“Mitie has been delivering great solutions to The John Lewis Partnership for well over a decade. Being awarded such a prestigious project is recognition of the strong relationship we have.

“Our retail projects capability is industry leading and I look forward to starting the project this month and embarking on many more exciting projects with the retailer in the future.”
