In response to continuing market demand, Gather & Gather, the catering services arm of FTSE 250 outsourcing company Mitie, is formally launching in Ireland.

During 2014 the caterer has successfully grown its business in Ireland in response to customer demand, doubling its workforce and creating a strong pipeline of new business opportunities. This success is set to continue with the recent award of two significant contracts with a combined turnover of €2m.

As a result, the company has made the decision to celebrate its success by formally announcing its presence in Ireland, positioning itself to continue growing strongly throughout 2015.

Based around a culture of bringing food and people together, Gather & Gather's innovative approach to employee dining is seen as one of the most exciting developments in the Irish food sector in recent years.

At the launch event on Wednesday 24 September at acclaimed Dublin-based restaurant Brioche, Gather & Gather will also announce details of its collaboration with the restaurant. Chef de Patron Gavin McDonagh will be consulting with the Gather & Gather team, creating a training academy for chefs and front of house employees, as well as menu consultation for clients.

The formal link was the idea of Alan Russell, who was appointed director of operations for Gather & Gather in Ireland at the start of the year and has played a key role in the company’s rapidly growing success.

Gather & Gather managing director, Allister Richards, said about the collaboration:

“We’re readdressing the balance between client, customer and caterer, and putting the customer at the heart of what we do. Gavin’s passion for great ingredients and fantastic service resonates with our own and it makes sense for our people to learn from and be inspired by the best.”

Gavin McDonagh, Chef de Patron at Brioche said:

“Sharing a common food philosophy around the core principals of seasonal, locally sourced and innovative food we are excited about this project and the future opportunities it will bring.”
